No Ego Trips Here.

After feeling pretty darn tootin' proud of myself the last 6 months or so for loosing the rest of my baby weight (and then some!) I got a good dose of Come-Back-Down-To-Earth-Jessica's-
Head the other day....

Paige : "Mom, wanna see me do a push-up?
Mom: "Sure."
Paige: ~~~~Insert child version of a push-up here. You know the kind. Butt in the air, elbows bent, face kissing the floor...not so much what the gym teacher wanted but eh....~~~~
Mom: "Awesome job kiddo!"
Paige: "Mom, why don't you do a push up with me?"
Mom: "Ehhh, I'm not really feeling like it right now sweetheart."
Paige: "Why? Cause the floor will break?"
Mom: ~~~~(Laughing)~~~~"Wow. That wasn't very nice...."

If you ever feel like your doing well with your weight loss, just come to our house.

P.S.
Don't be jealous for my awesome ability to recall my conversations with my four-year-old. Thank you Brain Age.... : )

My Little Artist.

Since my beautiful little Tator is such a good artist...I decided to remember her cute beginning. In a real, forever kinda way. Thanks Tator. You can always tell your future fans and followers that your Mommy IS your biggest fan. I have proof. : )

Yes it IS real. A reproduction of her amazing talent of course. You think I'm the kinda mom who would willingly hand a tattoo gun and ink to a four and a half year old child! Jeesh. And I thought you knew me better..... : )

Be At Peace.

"Opa" - Albert E. White
12/01/1940 - 02/06/2009

What is Death?

Death is nothing at all.

I have only slipped away into the next room.

I am I and you are you.

Whatever we were to each other,

that we still are.

Call me by my old familiar name.

Speak to me in the easy way

which you always used.

Put no difference in your tone.

Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.

Laugh as we always laughed

at the little jokes we enjoyed together.

Play, smile, think of me, pray for me.

Let my name be ever the household word

that it always was.

Let it be spoken without affect,

without the trace of a shadow on it.

Life means all that it ever meant.

It is the same that it ever was.

There is absolutely unbroken continuity.

Why should I be out of mind

because I am out of sight?

I am waiting for you,

for an interval,

somewhere very near,

just around the corner.

All is well.

Grateful.

I am feeling full of love and very grateful that I was able to spend a little quality mommy/daughter time with my amazing little Tator Tot. It really has been a long time, and was much needed. I sure do love you kiddo. You are adorable.
